Overview

The Tax Analyst position is part of the Accounting & Finance function, Americas region. The Tax Analyst is responsible for various accounting functions related to federal/state/local tax compliance, tax returns and associated filings, tax reporting and One Source system updates and maintenance, 1099/vendor tax reporting, audit support and data requests, research and documentation, process improvements, and other general accounting functions as required. 

Responsibilities

  • Prepares schedules and provides data to support fed/state/local income tax returns for monthly, quarterly, annual filings. 
  • Completes required governmental and local tax filings.
  • Prepares property, sales and use tax, and expatriate filings in accordance with federal and state requirements.
  • Supports One Source tax software including maintenance, updates, and filings using One Source reporting.
  • Interprets and supports through research and compliance all tax statutes, regulations, and legislation related to various tax issues.
  • Supports internal/external staff with research and data requests, confirms quarterly tax payments and supporting documentation. 
  • Provides support to federal, state, and local agencies for independent tax audits.
  • Prepares and parks various journal entries in SAP, generates financial reporting and support in SAP.
  • Updates all JSOX tax related internal controls/accounting policies and procedures applicable to Kao USA.

 

Qualifications

  • 2-4 years of Tax Accounting or related experience.
  • Preferred consumer products/consumer packaged goods, manufacturing, retail, or related tax industry.
  • Finance/Accounting Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
  • Preferred Tax related experience or education.
  • Experience with One Source tax software or related applications.
  • Proficient use with MS Office suite applications and SAP.
