  • Overview

    In this role, you will lead the development, management and integration of Salon Business Programs of Kao North America. 


    • Work with Brand Marketing, Trade Marketing, Sales and Education disciplines in both the US and Canada in order to plan, budget and implement the strategic activities associated with communication, promotion and design of the salon business programs.
    • Analyze and issues monthly reports on program and member engagement and performance. This includes sales and redemption of rewards.  Supports the ad hoc nature of Sales, Marketing and Education requests for custom reporting within the program databases as needed and makes recommendations to Sales. 
    • Manage the Salon Alliance loyalty program and other program budgets to achieve the Program objectives within financial guidelines.
    • Coordinate with Priority Projects on Salon Alliance registration and post event reconciliation for international events/trips.
    • Manage vendor relationship and direction for the Salon Alliance database and website.
    • Review Salon Alliance and other program rewards quarterly or as needed and coordinates with Sales, Telesales, Brand and Education in updating offerings.
    • Coordinate addition of reward offerings from 3rd party vendors and manages the relationship with between these merchandise vendors and program vendor
    • Manage corporate communication content and flow with program members via email, direct mail and other means as needed.
    • Manage Oribe Partner Points program as it pertains to Salon Alliance by working directly with Oribe and program vendor to ensure accurate data transfer and awarding of points
    • Manages relationship with Beauty Span and serves as liaison between editorial staff and Kao Marketing team to ensure brand coverage in each bi-monthly edition
    • Plan and executes Titanium Appreciation activities, including an annual or bi-annual 2-day event.




    • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience preferred
    • 5-8 years marketing, business development, program management or related experience
    • Strong ability to make oral group presentations;  persuade others to accept a specific opinion, action, etc.;  provide information or explain procedures, policies, etc
    • Writes and speaks in a clear, understandable and courteous manner. Written work is usually error free. Listens and responds appropriately.
    • Performs with minimal supervision, acts promptly, seeks solutions to resolve unexpected problems that arise on the job, makes practical, routine decisions.
