  • Overview

    New product manufacturing process scale-up and/or optimization of both new and existing processes both internally and at external third party manufacturers with strong opportunities for multi-regional collaboration. Qualification of alternate manufacturers and processes with emphasis on stream-lining and cost-savings.

    Responsibilities

    • Development, execution and optimization of the manufacturing process of new formulas from the initial lab-scale to intermediate pilot/trial scale and finally to final large production scale at the manufacturer.
    • Communication and collaboration on projects with cross-functional team members internally and externally through all stages of the project management cycle.
    • Development, optimization and approval of both new and existing manufacturing processes/making documents for both internal and external manufacturers.
    • Identify and troubleshoot production internal/external process issues for both new and existing products with focus on timeliness and develop action plans to resolution.
    • Qualification and transfer of products between internal and third party manufacturers.
    • Project Management Process Engineer may have recruiting, hiring, termination and overall performance management of a Process Engineer.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering 
    • 5+ years experience in the following areas;
    • Process Engineer + process experience in emulsion technologies in the personal care, food or fabric cleaning industries
    • Process development knowledge in a related industry
    • Proficiency with start-ups and production
    • Must have technical depth, influencing skills, decision making, problem solving, and results orientated
    • Travel - 35-40%
