    Kao Collin Inc. (KCOL) a wholly owned subsidiary of Kao Corporation, Tokyo, Japan. KCOL, part of a newly created Kao Advanced Printing Solutions, produces Water, UV, Led, Electron Bean and Water Based Inkjet Inks.  All products are designed for Industrial and Commercial Printing.

    KCOL currently has an opening for an Inkjet Ink Production Supervisor. This is a dynamic position coordinating and supervising the daily activities and executing priorities for the production team to provide quality products in a safe and cost effective manner.


    Responsibilities Include:

    • Supervise and train manufacturing team of ink manufacturing production team.
    • Develop and maintain production schedules and measure progress, as well as, continuous improvement by established standards of performance for production employees.
    • Develops a team to solve day-to-day operational issues and reach short- and long-term performance goals
    • Supervises the daily activities and sets priorities for the production team.
    • Provide an "on-floor" presence as a team leader and supervisor and assist in gaps to keep production flowing.
    • Recognize and solve problems affecting production including schedules, staff, quality, and equipment maintenance.
    • Conduct and develop training schedule for employees.
    • Performs reviews and approval of completed batches.
    • Interprets company policies to workers and enforces safety regulations.
    • Communicate and collaborate with other areas to assist team to solve operational issues
    • Confers with other supervisors to coordinate ink supply to Production Support Team.
    • Be able to assist in gaps to keep production flow.
    • This role may require lifting up to 50 lbs., maneuvering 500 lb drums, operate forklift and manufacturing equipment occasionally.
    • Regular and predictable attendance at the work site.
    • This role may require off-shift and weekend work.
    • Must be computer literate and Utilize ERP Software (PPRO).
    • Responsible for continuous improvement according to the Kao Collins culture and maintain adherence to “The Kao Way” standards at all times.
    • Follows all safety and regulatory compliance procedures. Attends meeting, training classes, courses or seminars as required by production management


    Candidates for this position should have a minimum of 3 – 5 years of supervisory, management experience in a manufacturing environment. Experience in a packaging and production line is a plus. This candidate should also have experience working with an MRP software and in a GMP (good manufacturing practice) environment.  Strong math and computer skills.  Attention to detail with strong verbal and written skills necessary. Strong initiative and ability to work in a team environment. An Associate or Bachelor’s Degree in a technical discipline preferred.
